Make life easier for the less fortunate

The Winter HOPE Campaign serves to fulfil the needs of the less fortunate during a challenging time of the year. The aim is to give people much needed warm clothes, blankets and food in the cold winter months.

It was launched 19 years ago and the project has since gained nationwide following and support from the public, local businesses and churches as well as the media.

The initiative is managed by MES (Mould Empower Serve) and PEN (Participate Empower Navigate) and supported by Towers of Hope and The Denis Hurley Centre.

Reflecting on our Journey

The Winter HOPE campaign touched the hearts of many people in 2018.

Thank you for your contribution in making winter more bearable for the less fortunate.

However, this would not have been possible without God’s active involvement and blessings and we praise Him for His mercy and love.

Stories of Hope

Winterhoop

Grace Family Church at all four of their campuses will be among the 28 pick-up points for Winter HOPE in the Durban and Pietermaritzburg area this year. They will be joining churches from the Dutch Reformed, Anglican, Methodist, Baptist and Catholic denominations. The generosity of Grace members is already well known, channeled through their own NGO Grace Aid.

They have been collecting already for their Street Store event. But they will carry on collecting throughout June: clothes, blankets, scarves and non-perishable food.

But please think carefully about what you are giving - and don't add to our pile of single shoes. We don't have too many one-legged poor people! For more information about the campaign in KwaZulu-Natal, please contact Raymond Perrier from the Denis Hurley Centre or email: winterhoop@mes.org.za #GiveHope #GiveWarmth #WinterHOPE2019
