Make life easier for the less fortunate

The Winter HOPE Campaign serves to fulfil the needs of the less fortunate during a challenging time of the year. The aim is to give people much needed warm clothes, blankets and food in the cold winter months.

It was launched 19 years ago and the project has since gained nationwide following and support from the public, local businesses and churches as well as the media.

The initiative is managed by MES (Mould Empower Serve) and PEN (Participate Empower Navigate) and supported by Towers of Hope and The Denis Hurley Centre.

Reflecting on our Journey

The Winter HOPE campaign touched the hearts of many people in 2018.

Thank you for your contribution in making winter more bearable for the less fortunate.

However, this would not have been possible without God’s active involvement and blessings and we praise Him for His mercy and love.

Stories of Hope

At the Denis Hurley Centre in the heart of Durban - between the Cathedral and the Mosque - we are honoured to be co-ordinating Winter HOPE for KZN in 2019. Already a place where people of different faiths come together to help the poor, we are pleased to be able to co-ordinate churches from a wide range of Christian traditions to partner with us on Winter HOPE.

We have 28 drop-off points set up in Durban and Pietermaritzburg and will announce them soon. The DHC is not a drop-off point, please do not bring things to us but instead start collecting quality second clothes and warm items at home ready for 1 June. #GiveHope #GiveWarmth #WinterHOPE2019
