NG Welgemoed’s youth ministry brought cheer to 63 homeless clients in Cape Town

The youth ministry prepared hot dogs for our Cape Town clients

NG Welgemoed congregation’s youth ministry decided to reach out to the homeless in Cape Town this winter. On Sunday, May 29, the ministry’s youth congregation prepared hot dogs for the approximately 63 homeless clients who find shelter at MES Cape Town, Bellville. The teenagers took the initiative to serve hot dogs and socialise with shelter clients.

Our clients thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated the kind gesture. Sometimes, all one needs is a smile, a hot dog and a warm cup of soup to be reminded that someone does care.
