PEN ‘s OVC house ( orphaned and vulnerable children) would like to thank Winterhoop for their tireless support and effort in giving warmth & hope to our beneficiaries.
Winterhoop is about bringing hope and warmth to the most vulnerable in our communities.
This is the 20th year PEN, MES and various partners are pulling forces together to ensure our homeless and destitute communities can experience much needed relief through our cold, wet winter months.
The month of June will once again see Winter Hope in action in collaboration with various NPO’s to serve and support thousands of people in need.
As the drive enters its final week, people are, however, reminded that there is still time to make a difference to those facing the demands of a cold winter.
The Winter HOPE drive, which encourages everyone to collect warm winter clothes, blankets and non-perishable food items for distribution to people in need during the cold winter months, returns to cities across South Africa in June.
In South Africa thousands of people – men, women, children – white, brown and black – sleeps in the street at night. In winter, these people often die.
